OHuo Studio
OHuo is a collaborative art practice by multimedia artists Fan Yu and Song Lu, co-founded in New York in 2023. Both artists grew up in Guizhou, China, and met while studying in the MFA Photography, Video, and Related Media program at the School of Visual Arts.
"Ohuo!"—a Guizhou dialect exclamation of surprise or wonder—captures the spark of realization. At OHuo, our collaborative art practice, we channel this fleeting moment into the heart of our creative journey.Through AI-generated imagery and animations, we aim to evoke in our audience the same sense of surprise and contemplation.
OHuo has exhibition experience at Flatiron Gallery in New York, RIVAA Gallery in New York, and Chi K11 Museum in Shanghai, Hunan Mango Art Museum in China.
